Additional air flight to be opened between Baku and Almaty

Air Astana opens the third flight by the Baku-Almaty route on Fridays, news service for the air company reports.

Beginning from 6 August 2010 the flights from Azerbaijani capital to Almaty will be conducted thrice a week on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays by comfortable Airbus A320 (16 seats in business class and 132 in economic class).

'Increase in the frequency of flights between the Azerbaijani capital and regional financial center of Kazakhstan, Almaty, has been caused by the increased demand in this direction. The average loading by the Almaty-Baku-Almaty flight made up 63% in 2009. It had increased by 71% by 2010', said regional manager of Air Astana's office in Baku Adel Dayletbek.

The cost of the one way ticket in economic class will start from AZN 238m, including airport duties and other taxes and from AZN 407 in business class. The return ticket is from AZN 459 in economic class and from AZN 759 in business class including airport duties and other taxes.
